Obv: sikka zad bar haft kishwar saya e fazle elah, hamie din-e- Muhammad, Shah Alam Badshah & hijri date 1187,
Rev: sana 14 julus, zarb Allahabad at the bottom & Persian letter 'Ain' in the letter 'seen' of julus, (Master & Kapoor # 3.03), choice very fine, Very Rare.
Weight : 11.11 Grams
Allahabad, having been seized by the East India Company in 1771 and subsequently sold to Awadh a couple of years later. It is thought that the initial letter 'Ain' represents Almas Ali Khan, an important funtionary of the Nawab, Shuja’a-ud-Daula.
