Ancient ; Roman Empire AD 195 SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS AR Denarius. EF/EF-. P M TR P III COS II P P. Scarce and early

Obverse: L SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP V. Laureate head to right.
Reverse: P M TR P III COS II P P. Mars advancing right with trophy over shoulder and spear.
Precious coin, struck in A.D. 195 at the beginning of Septimius Severus rule. It´s in EF/EF- condition, conserving complete details in both sides: very difficult to find in this Septimius Severus´ early issues. Besides, the best of the coin is, undoubtely, the superb portrait of the emperor in the obverse, drawn on in a delicious roman style.
RIC IV-1 60. Rome mint, A.D. 195.
